Funded by the Promoting Academic Excellence in Universities (PAEU) Program of the Education Ministry, four PhD and five MSc student positions in NMR spectroscopy and NMR micro-imaging are available at this lab at the Department of Chemistry of the National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, ROC, starting August 1st each academic year. The students are expected to conduct research in one or more of the following directions in NMR and micro-imaging: (a) liquid and solid state NMR pulse sequence design; (b) development of novel micro-imaging techniques; (c) data processing (spectra and images); (d) protein structure and dynamics; (e) biomacromolecules -ligand interactions studied with liquid and/or solid state NMR. The persons with background in computer programming, radio frequency electronics and biochemistry or biophysics are most welcome to apply.
The international applicants should submit (1) two copies of completed application form; (2) Two copies of study and research plan including a brief autobiography; (3) Two letters of recommendation from senior researchers and other items.
